ACRATH stands for the Australian Catholic Religious Against Trafficking in Humans. ACRATH is endorsed by Catholic Religious Australia – the peak body for 190 religious orders in Australia, representing 8000 religious sisters, brothers and priests.
Mission Statement: ACRATH is committed to working together towards the elimination of human trafficking in Australia, in Asia, the Pacific and Internationally.
ACRATH:
- Raises awareness, shares information, builds networks nationally & globally.
- Facilitates action at pastoral and structural levels to combat and prevent human rights violations relating to the trafficking of human.
- Provides education through a variety of materials and resource.
- Provides direct services – e.g. counselling; rehabilitation and reintegration programmes.
