The Implementation Procedures for the South Australian Catholic Child Protection Council Policy for the Care, Wellbeing and Protection of Children and Young People:

  • were developed by the Child Protection Council in consultation with Church, government and community agencies
  • provide an overarching framework to enable Church communities to develop child protection practices
  • assist parish and education communities, health and welfare agencies and Catholic organisations plan, implement, review and audit their child protection practices.

The four key elements of the Implementation Procedures are designed to support Church communities to build their capacity to create child safe environments.

These four inter-related elements are:

  • Faith and Culture
  • Governance
  • Human Resources Practices
  • Training
