The Catholic Church in South Australia employs over 10,500 people working across the industries of education, health, social services and parishes. The Church also has many volunteers who assist and support our worksites. It is committed to providing a safe work environment for these people and also anyone who engages in contract work or visits our worksites.


Catholic Safety Health and Welfare SA  (CWHS SA) is the unit that manages the Church's Injury Prevention. The team of OHS Consultants provide support, advice and assistance in relation to occupational, health, safety and welfare to all worksites in the Church. This unit also manages the daily activity of the Catholic Church Endowment Society (CCES) Self Insured Employer Licence granted by the WorkCover Corporation of South Australia.
