(short/long stay)

For a visitation or appointment to the Catholic Archdiocese of Adelaide, the following options for incoming Interstate Clergy, Deacons, Religious Brothers and Sisters are as follows:

Option 1

Presentation of ACMR ID# plus evidence of a WWCC

The ACMR ID Number is a national scheme established by the National Committee Professional Standards that acknowledges the good standing of a member of the Clergy or Religious using the Towards Healing declarations (45.6 and 45.7). Once registered and given an ACMR ID Number, Clergy, Deacons, Religious Brothers and Sisters are able to use this ID Number in any diocese throughout Australia to confirm their good standing. When provided, the individuals name and status is able to be verified via the secure online system. The ACMR form is required to be completed and a WWCC from the respective state or territory is also required to be provided.

Please note:

  • For visitations (short stay less than 10 consecutive days) the WWCC presented from another state or territory will be accepted which is in accordance with South Australian law.
  • For visitations (short stay more than 10 consecutive days) the WWCC presented from another state or territory will not be able to be accepted on its own in accordance with South Australian law.  Given this, a WWCC in South Australia will also need to be undertaken through the Screening and Verification Authority.
  • For Appointments (long stay) the WWCC presented from another state or territory will not be able to be accepted on its own in accordance with South Australian law.  Given this, a WWCC in South Australia will also need to be undertaken through the Screening and Verification Authority.

Please note: Clergy/Religious from an Eastern Rite are considered as Clergy/Religious from another Diocese and should follow the above protocols.
