103rd World Day of Migrants and Refugees 2017
Theme: “Child Migrants, the Vulnerable and the Voiceless”.
On Sunday August 27th 2017, the Archdiocese of Adelaide will celebrate the 103rd World Day of Migrants and Refugees with a solemn Multicultural Mass to pray especially for migrants, refugees and asylum seekers during this very difficult time in our history. The theme of this year celebration is
“Child Migrants, the Vulnerable and the Voiceless”.
The Mass will be celebrated by Archbishop Philip Wilson and concelebrated by the Migrant Chaplains and Priests of the Archdiocese at 2.30 pm, at St Francis Xavier Cathedral, 39 Wakefield Street, Adelaide. Following the Mass, everyone is invited to St. Aloysius College’s Judith Redden Hall, 53 Wakefield Street, Adelaide (next to the Cathedral) to continue the celebration with beautiful multicultural food and an entertainment program by our Multicultural Communities. On this occasion Archbishop Wilson will also launch the book “Journeys of Faith” which is a publication of a series of migration and faith stories contributed by members of our Multicultural Communities.
