  • The Mount Barker census, 1850s.

  • Year Books and Directories of Australian clergy

Conditions of Use

Bona fide students and other researchers may be given access to the archives under the following conditions:

 

a) That they apply in writing to the Archivist for permission to view the documents they require, using the attached document, “Application for Access to the Archives”. They must state clearly the nature and purpose of their research and must abide by the decision given.

b) That they abide by the rules relating to conduct in the search room, as stated in the attached document, “Rules for the Use of the Adelaide Archdiocesan Archives,” and co-operate with the archivist at all time

Family History Research Policy

The Adelaide Archdiocesan Archives has a duty to prioritise management of the records of the Archdiocese in accordance with archival best practice and in ways that directly support the work of the Archdiocese.

 
Our policy therefore is to be available only as a last resort for family history services and where possible, to direct all such inquiries to where these resources are available for public use.
