The SACCS Forum was established in 1996 following a recommendation in the Report of the Review Panel of the South Australian Commission for Catholic Schools.

 The charter of the SACCS Forum is to be:

• a major channel of consultation on educational matters for the Commission with the broader Catholic community and the schools
• an advisory body to the Commission.
