Mandatory Reporting
Teachers and other school staff must have undertaken accredited Mandatory Reporting Training before they can commence work at Catholic Education SA.
Mandatory Notification Training (7 hours)
Approved trainers conduct a full day program which addresses the legal requirements of adults working with children and reporting suspected child abuse.
The aims of the Accredited 7 Hour training are to provide information to enable school personnel to:
- Recognise suspected child abuse
- Know how and when to notify child abuse
- To be aware of legal responsibilities regarding notification of
suspected child abuse
Training can be arranged through Catholic Education Offices of SA by completing the appropriate form below and forwarding it to the CEO according to the instructions on the form.
Refresher Course (3 hours)
Teachers and other school staff must undertake a Refresher Course every three years. Training can be arranged through Catholic Education Offices of SA by completing the appropriate form below and forwarding it to the CEO according to the instructions on the form.
Volunteer Awareness Course (2 hours)
For volunteers working closely with children and generally without supervision of school staff eg. LAP volunteers the Federation of Catholic School Parent Communities provide training, please contact 8301 6657 for further information.
