Literacy
The Literacy Team at Catholic Education South Australia (CESA) supports the work of teachers and key teachers in the area of literacy education in CESA schools from Reception to Year 12.
The team provides leadership to teachers in the exploration of issues and understandings of contemporary literacy teaching and learning in their schools. To achieve this, the Literacy Team initiates and facilitates cutting edge professional learning opportunities for teachers which support effective, innovative and inclusive approaches to literacy teaching, learning and assessment practices.
The team uses the South Australian Curriculum Standards and Accountability Framework (SACSA) and the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) as its teaching/learning frameworks. All this work is guided by the South Australian Commission for Catholic Schools Literacy Strategy.
