Vocational Education and Training (VET) incorporates the areas of Enterprise, Career and Vocational Education.

VET personnel support schools through Careers and Vocational Education Coordinator networks to:

• disseminate information regarding national and local developments and funding opportunities
• promote professional development opportunities for teachers working in careers and vocational education
• provide information to schools regarding training and employment opportunities for students

Facilitating a range of valued pathways for young people through the senior years of schooling, and beyond, is key to the work of the team.

Funding is allocated to schools to support students and teachers in the areas of Vocational Education and Training in Schools (VETiS),  and initiatives in enterprise, careers and vocational education.

The work of the Vocational Education and Training team is supported by an Advisory committee, and partnerships with education sectors, business and government.
