Pathways to Study – Adult Faith Formation

Catholic Theological College is committed to the ongoing formation and education of adults. Each year a number of Topics that deal with the heart of our Catholic Faith are conducted.

 


2009 - Heart of Old Testament Characters and their Stories

Dr. Marie Turner, CTC Biblical Studies Lecturer, will conduct the second topic this year in our Heart of ...... series.

 

In this 5 week topic Dr Turner will bring to life the mysterious Abraham and Sarah, the charismatic King David and his beloved Bathsheba, the exquisite Ruth, and the wise man Job who challenged God on the problem of suffering in the world.   You will come to know these characters and their stories against the backdrop of the history and lifestyles of the ancient biblical world.

When  – Mondays from October 19th to November 9th inclusive, 10:30am-12:00pm

Where – Room S1, ACD Campus, 34 Lipsett Terrace, Brooklyn Park

Cost - $50  [payable on Oct 19th]

CTC personnel are available to go to parish centres and to provide formation and education in areas according to perceived needs. Examples of these Courses are below:

Faith in our Daily Lives
A three week exploration of key aspects of what it means to be a Christian today:  God, the Church and the Sacramental Life

Living the Paschal Mystery
A guided day of Prayer in DVD/Video Format. Suitable for small groups

The SA Catholic Story
A four week presentation of the story of the early Catholic Community in Adelaide
