The Second Vatican Council was very clear in its understanding of a Vocation. Every baptised Christian is uniquely called by God to holiness of life and to mission in the church for the sake of God’s Kingdom in the world. In this sense every Christian has a vocation.

The Vocations Centre specifically promotes the vocation of the Diocesan Priesthood, and supports and helps to coordinate the vocations of the Permanent Diaconate, and the Consecrated Life (Religious Sisters and Brothers).
