Federal Election 2007

ACJPC Election Leaflet

Vote for the Common Good

The Adelaide Catholic Justice and Peace Commission  has produced an election leaflet entitled, “Vote for the Common Good.”

We seek to encourage Catholics to reflect on the various policies and platforms in the light of the Church’s social teachings, and to judge them by how they promote human dignity, human rights, and the good of all.

Our focus is to encourage electors to consider wider social justice concerns when they vote, and to ask: “How will my vote advance the common good?”

Election Prayer Card

For the Common Good

As the election draws near, we are joining the Catholic Bishops of Australia in urging people to look beyond their own individual needs and interests, and to consider wider concerns for the sake of the Common Good.
