Welcome to The Southern Cross

The Southern Cross
is the award-winning, flagship publication of the Archdiocese of Adelaide, produced monthly by the Catholic Communications office from its Wakefield Street headquarters.

Our small team of dedicated reporters, writers and photographers endeavours to bring South Australian Catholics, young and old, all the latest local, national and international news relevant to the Church in the 21st century.

More than 49,000 copies of the free, 28-page newspaper are distributed to Catholic schools and parishes in the Adelaide Archdiocese and the Port Pirie Diocese.

The Southern Cross contains news, features, opinion, school and parish stories, readers' letters, social events, weddings and Mass times. The newspaper began in 1867.
